Featuring a hypercardioid polar pattern, the E-image DS-18 Microphone is able to capture sound from the main direction while minimizing unwanted ambient noise. The frequency response of 40 Hz to 16 kHz, combined with a sensitivity of -39 dB ±3 dB, ensures clear and detailed capture of voices and other sounds. The microphone element is a rear electret condenser, known for its reliability and sound quality.
The microphone body is made of metal, providing strength and durability. Weighing just 170g and featuring a compact size of 22mm in diameter and 155mm in length, the DS-18 is easy to carry and wont weigh down your equipment. The microphone is powered by a 3V CR2 lithium battery, with an LED indicator to show the voltage level, ensuring long-term use without interruptions.
The E-image DS-18 Microphone offers two selectable shooting angles: 90° and 120°, allowing you to adapt to different recording situations, whether you want to capture ambient sounds or focus on a single sound source. It is compatible with DSLR cameras with a 3.5mm audio input and recording function, such as Canon 7D, 5D Mark II, 550D, 60D, Nikon D7000, D90, Panasonic GH1 and SD700.
