The Viltrox Air 35mm F1.7 AF APS-C with Sony E-mountphotographic lens is a compact and lightweight prime lens designed for mirrorless cameras with Sony E mount and APS-C sensor. Weighing only 170 g and measuring 64 × 54.7 mm, it offers excellent portability, ideal for street, portrait and travel photography.
The optics consists of 11 elements in 9 groups, including aspherical and extra-low dispersion (ED) glass lenses, which reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions. Multi-layer HD nano coating improves contrast and minimizes flare and ghosting, ensuring vivid colors and sharp images even in difficult lighting conditions.
A maximum aperture of f/1.7 provides excellent depth-of-field control and smooth bokeh rendition thanks to the 9-blade diaphragm. Autofocus is handled by a silent and precise stepping motor (STM), which is compatible with the face and eye detection systems of Sony cameras.
The front filter has a diameter of 52 mm, facilitating the use of standard filters. Although the lens has no internal stabilization, it is compatible with in-body stabilization (IBIS), offering stable images even in low-light conditions.
