Instead of a standard polygonal aperture, Sony 20mm F2.8 incorporates a 7-blade circular aperture for a more natural, rounded blur or bokeh effect. To optimise performance, aspherical lens elements maintain high contrast (even at maximum apertures) and minimise distortion and flattening of the image plane. A rear focusing mechanism prevents the lens barrel from moving, providing a more compact design, faster autofocus response and shorter focusing distances.
