Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation built into the lens ensures smooth, blur-free photos and videos, even when shooting handheld. Instead of a standard polygonal aperture, this lens incorporates a 7-blade circular aperture for a more natural, rounded blur or bokeh effect. Aspherical elements minimise distortion while ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements offer superior contrast, resolution and colour fidelity.
If the camera fails to focus on the desired subject with Auto Focus (AF), the Direct Manual Focus (DMF) system is activated so that you have total control over the image. Both the motor controlling the focus and the motor controlling the aperture operate quietly and discreetly, ideal for video shooting.
